Meet the New Class: Dalilah Bernier

With the start of the 2023-24 school year upon us, we are highlighting members of the incoming class of students. Click here to see all of the articles in this series.

Today we’re talking with incoming Rabbinical student Dalilah Bernier.

Q1) Where do you live?

Milwaukee, Wisconsin!

Q2) How did you first hear of AJRCA?

I learned about the program from a former Hillel colleague, turned classmate!

Q3) What was it about AJRCA that drew you to enroll here?

I love living in the midwest, and did not feel that I was done growing in the Milwaukee Jewish community. I’m so grateful to have the opportunity to serve the community while in my studies.

Q4) What were you doing prior to enrolling?

Prior to my time at AJRCA, I was serving as the Director of Jewish Education at Hillel Milwaukee.

Q5) As you embark on this experience, what are you most excited about?

Growing up in the Reform Movement, my networks were very siloed. Once I started working for Hillel, I gained a new appreciation for pluralistic spaces. I am so excited to continue developing a more holistic understanding of Judaism through AJRCA.

Welcome Dalilah!
