Meet the New Class: Erin Wyner

With the start of the 2023-24 school year upon us, we are highlighting members of the incoming class of students. Click here to see all of the articles in this series.

Today we’re talking with incoming Rabbinical student Erin Wyner.

Q1) Where do you live?

I live in Studio City, California

Q2) How did you first hear of AJRCA?

I heard of AJRCA because our synagogue’s student rabbi is Jill Gold Wright

Q3) What was it about AJRCA that drew you to enroll here?

I was drawn by AJRCA’s pluralistic views and the opportunity to explore different ideas and ways of relating to Judaism (I also liked that it was more manageable for a returning student, with less pressure to finish quickly)

Q4) What were you doing prior to enrolling?

Before enrolling, I was a full time mom, part time copyeditor, and a JLC teacher. Long before that I was a physician.

Q5) As you embark on this experience, what are you most excited about?

I am very excited about learning and growing in my Judaism and making life-long friends and mentors.

Welcome Erin!
