4 Questions with…Our 2024 Graduates: Hazzan Linda Rose Bernstein, PharmD

With our 2024 Ordination-Graduation ceremony approaching, we are highlighting members of the graduating class. Click here to see all of the posts in this series.

Today we’re talking with Rabbinic Ordinee Hazzan Linda Rose Bernstein, PharmD.

1) With the ceremony approaching, what emotions are you feeling?

I am feeling…

  • Very proud to have reached my goal of being a rabbi and cantor.
  • Excited to have my family and friends here to witness this milestone in my life, in person or via Zoom.
  • Happy that I have met so many wonderful present and future friends and colleagues.
  • Hopeful that I will be able to make use of my skills in the future.

2) What is one learning from your Academy experience that you will take with you after graduation?

I hope to take everything I have learned with me to the next phase of my life. My one, most important learning is the realization that there is so much more to learn in Judaism. I have just scratched the surface and know it will be a lifelong process.

3) Is there anything you learned at AJRCA that truly surprised you?

I learned the importance of listening in a pastoral care setting, rather than giving advice.

4) If you could go back in time and tell your pre-AJRCA self one thing, what would that be?

Hang in there! You can do this!

Congratulations Linda!
