A Case of Cremation

Join us on Monday, December 16th at 12:15pm PDT, Rabbi Dr. Joseph S. Ozarowski, BCC, D.Min., will be joining us in a study of a classic halachic responsum on the topic of cremation, looking at how the legal arguments are developed, the historical and social context, and how these points may or may not relate today.

Our Speaker

Rabbi Dr. Joseph S. Ozarowski, BCC, D.Min, is Rabbinic Counselor and Chaplain for Jewish Child and Family Services Chicago, Jewish Chaplain at Skokie Hospital and adjunct professor at Spertus Institute. His book, To Walk in God’s Ways – Jewish Pastoral Perspectives on Illness and Bereavement, is a standard in the field of Judaism and Pastoral Care.
