Our Speaker
Rabbi Susan Freeman is the Rabbi for the Center of Jewish Care at Jewish Family Service, San Diego. Additionally, she provides adjunct teaching for the Academy for Jewish Religion California. A Board-Certified Chaplain (NAJC) and Certified Clinical Pastoral Educator (ACPE), she served many years in hospital, home health, and hospice settings. Prior to chaplaincy, she worked as a congregational rabbi and synagogue education director. The author of several Jewish education books, she has also published To Dwell in Your House: Vignettes and Spiritual Reflections on Caregiving at Home. She is a former dancer and current yoga practitioner, and a Certified Yoga Therapist (IAYT) and teacher (RYT-500).
