Founded:  2000

Type:  Jewish Professional School (i.e. seminary), with programs for clergy (rabbis & cantors), chaplains, community leaders

Schedule:   Semester, with a unique 3-day week of full-time intensive work on campus Sunday through Tuesday, designed for people who have work or family responsibilities; and two five-day weeks for intersessions in January and June.

Student population:  Jewish!   from all the denominations, and beyond.

Size:  about 60 regular students

Gender:  40/60 male/female

Ages:  22-65, we’re truly multi-generational

Geography:  mostly southern California, but including commuters from West Coast and Southwest, and a growing population for our hybrid/online courses

Faculty:  17 core, 12 adjunct faculty.  We are known for great student-faculty relationships. Yes, they are also from the entire Jewish spectrum of affiliation.

Rabbinical or Cantorial Ordination with Master’s degree:  5 years

Chaplaincy, Master’s degree with AJRCA certificate:  3 years

Tuition for 2015-16:  $24,300 for one year full-time, not including miscellaneous fees & books.  We aim to keep our tuition under the median for graduate programs.  Federal loans available for qualifying students.

Alumni:   125 alumni, working in a wide variety of synagogues, schools, Jewish agencies, and interfaith positions.
