Jewish communal leadership isn’t just for clergy. The Academy offers leadership specializations in several areas within the Master of Jewish Studies degree. Students acquire core Jewish knowledge and a range of practical skills useful to synagogues, agencies, Jewish centers, and interfaith programs.

The MJS degree with a community leadership specialization includes 36 semester units in addition to Hebrew language requirements. A full-time student can complete the Master’s degree in less than two years, culminating with a thesis or capstone project.
